I was interested in the image of the vulture and the child for a long time. A powerful and tragic image. The real story that goes with it is just as tragic. I added the pack of birds devouring carcasses and the figure in the foreground.

The underlying theme for this piece is ignorance IS bliss, no matter how far away harsh reality is. Reality is located just around the corner.
